Well, I've been back for a time now, seeing numerous beloved people and doing many nostalgic past-times. It has been a bit weird, going from the Spirit-charged environment of Ellerslie to the "real" world here. I hear people swearing around me. I see things I used to love and now hate. It's all very surreal in some ways, because it's as though I've been changed, but all has remained constant here, and it feels as though Ellerslie is but a far off dream, like Narnia to the Pevensies, but you know it's real and tangible.
However, one can't hole up in a monastery. To know the truth and hold it back in such a way is as sinful as anything else. The great and fantastic thing to me though, is that all the truths that changed my life at Ellerslie have not faded one bit in coming back to Athens. Though I do not have the external government of a Student Handbook, I now have the internal government of the Holy Spirit. Certainly, I am not perfect, but it's always further up and further in; with the King of Kings, nothing ought be lost. As Jude 24 says, He is able to keep us from stumbling, to present us faultless before the throne of God, with all joy. It is His delight to make us strong and keep us so. Praise God, for we are called to live in the midst of a fallen and corrupt world!
Also, today, I just finished reading The Chronicles of Narnia series for the first time. It is seriously the best fiction I have ever read and likely will read. C.S. Lewis was a genius, and could express deep spiritual truths in a very beautiful way. Now I'm starting on The Knowledge of the Holy by A.W. Tozer, and it's already blown my mind. I love the thunder of yesteryear.
God is good and faithful in every way. Stay strong, and of good courage!

Return
I've been very busy with Ellerslie lately, so I haven't had time to post anything. Just wanted to say that I'll be back on Wednesday the 18th, and I'm officially done with Ellerslie session 1 on Sunday! Be praying that the graduation will be God's!
Thanks!
Thanks!
